Wednesday was to be a big day for us. We had to take my youngest to a long anticipated allergist appointment (more on that later) and my husband and I both needed to be there to present her history. So what were we to do with Maggie? She couldn't come with us. Luckily, my very dear friend offered to look after her since she was "working" from home. But that is not the worst of it. Maggie had her "End of Year Extravaganza" that evening and just couldn't miss it! She had been working very hard learning and teaching her friends the dances for the show. She would be devastated if she missed it and I would be paying for years of therapy later. Luckily, her stomach settled down and she was able to keep some soup down. I pumped her up with pedialyte, the miracle drink, too. A dose of tylenol and another bowl of soup and she felt well enough to do some dancing!
So this is a picture of her after the Extravaganza! She managed to pull all of her energy to do "The Cotton Eyed Joe" (thus the cowgirl outfit) and she was so very proud of herself. Not half as proud as I was. I am so glad she was able to participate with her class and I must say, it was priceless! Now, she did take another day off and is here at home with me recooperating because she doesn't want to miss Field Day on Friday.
Priorities.

Your kids are adorable! My oldest daughter, now 24 (25 next week), missed several big events in elementary school....like the valentines day party, xmas party, because of an illness (minor, but she had to stay home)..poor girl, yep, the timing is never right! But they bounce back!
Yay for tylenol! I hope she's feeling much better. :)
I like the Strawberry. It is really cute.
